You guys, Hawea made the best BBQ chicken the other night.
She used Jack Daniels sauce for the base, and added some of Diane’s homemade lilikoi butter, sriracha sauce, and some agave nectar.
The end result can only be described as “sweet heat”. It was so good that I appointed her the title of Sauce Boss and began dreaming of a saucy cook off competition with friends in the coming weeks. (I would happily be a taste testing judge).
We’ve been stretching the leftovers through the week. Here it reappeared on salad with blue cheese crumbles and dressing.
