I’m so happy to share that today I actually felt like myself again! I think a lot of it has to do with eating healthy food. I just couldn’t handle all the junk food anymore. Despite the fact that the hospital dietician recommended low fiber, I’m adding back in things like salads, some spinach, fruits with skins. I MISS HEALTHY FOOD!!!! Check out all the good grinds I had today – is it any wonder I’m in a great mood ?
It seems like it’s worth risking it, and eating the “good” stuff in moderation, at least for now. I meet with the GI specialist on Monday, and am hoping that he’ll give me some solid dietary guidelines, and of course, hoping to taper off of the prednisone.
Other factors in this awesomely balanced day: work, puppy play time, a 3 mile jog, a workout on the elliptical, a phone call to my mom, and a swim at Richardson’s. I also crossed some extraneous things off my “to-do” list. Overall, I feel accomplished, healthy and whole. I’ve missed this feeling.
